Easter Day

Service at 10:30 with Holy Communion

Circuit Maundy Thursday

Holy Communion service on 17th April,

at Rishton Church at 7.30pm.

Short Good Friday Worship

at Trinity at 10am

led by Margaret Dugdale.

Churches Together in Rishton Good Friday service

at Rishton Methodist Church at 10 am,

followed by a Procession of Witness to the esplanade

(Opposite the War Memorial).
The Procession begins (after the service) at 10.45am

Rishton Church Easter Day Service

at 9.00am when Holy Communion will be celebrated.

Rishton Church Easter Day Service at 10.30 led by Steve Colling.

Don’t forget to bring in your ‘Count Your Blessings’ boxes this Sunday.

Next Sunday our Service on Sunday the 27th of April, will be led by Ian Kitchin.

The Worship Area Flowers for April arranged by Joyce Ross and on Sunday the 20th are donated by Joyce Ross and Audrey Adams the flowers for the 27th of April are donated by Barbara Fielding.

A thought for today, Easter Day

This year the calendars of the churches are aligned so that we are celebrating Holy Week and Easter together: Orthodox, Catholic, Anglican, and Reformed. May we all know the joy of the gospel together!

We give thanks to you, O God, because this day we learn that death is dead, and Christ’s love is eternal. We praise you for your work of creation – in all its beauty and diversity for your teaching through the law and the prophets –

through which you reach out to humankind, for your coming to us in Jesus Christ – the word made flesh, full of grace and truth; for his rising from the grave to live with us now and forever; for your moving among us in the Holy Spirit, growing faith where there was doubt.

Therefore, we join with all your people in heaven and earth to raise the hymn of your glory:

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.  Hosanna in the highest.
